Mui Kinoshita is a renowned Hong Kong-based designer and entrepreneur. She currently serves as Board Director of the World Design Organization (WDO) (China Representative), Chairman of the Hong Kong Designers Association, Director of the Hong Kong Design Centre, and Advisor for the Doctor of Design programme at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

With extensive international experience in Hong Kong, the UK, Finland, Italy, and Japan, Mui is the founder of Venture Design, ASA Innovation & Technology, and CycleCore Ltd. She has received numerous prestigious awards, including the iF Design Award (Gold), Red Dot Design Award, GDA Global Design Award (Gold), and DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award. As an entrepreneur, she has also won global recognition such as the Alibaba Jumpstarter Global Best Startup Award, Peninsula Hotel Kaleidoscope Lab Global Winner, HSBC Innovation Awards, and China Mobile Entrepreneurship Award.

Mui envisions Hong Kong as Asia’s leading design hub. As the first female Chairman of the Hong Kong Designers Association, she pioneered the “DesignMatch” one-on-one design and business matching platform and the Hong Kong Design Summit. She also initiated Asia’s first design-led brand award — the BDA (Better Design Award) — encouraging brands to leverage design as a key driver of value across industries.
