Bongkyu Song studied Industrial Design in Seoul and founded BKID in 2010 after working at Samsung Electronics. With a deep curiosity that spans from crafts to high-tech innovation, he collaborates with companies, startups, and artists to integrate emerging technologies and compelling narratives into industrial design. BKID has partnered with global cooperation such as BMW, Alessi, DELL, and Disney. He was named "Young Artist of the Year" by Korea’s Ministry of Culture in 2015, selected as one of the “10 Leading Korean Designers” by JoongAng News Paper in 2012, and recognized as one of “Korea’s Next Generation Leaders” by Forbes Korea in 2013. Since 2020-2024, he has also served as a jury member for the iF Design Award in Germany.
