Amy Ip is part of the growing cohort of female leaders who have made the transition from design careers to venture building. Throughout her professional journey, she has implemented a Design Thinking-led approach in the research and development of products and services disrupting traditional business models for Yahoo!, Microsoft, and Tencent. Subsequently, she shifted to the consulting field and spearheaded digital experience strategy programs at Fjord/Accenture Interactive for multinational corporations in sectors such as banking, FMCG, and smart retail in Greater China.
Currently, Amy serves as the co-founder and Managing Director of CaaS, a digital innovation research and strategy consulting firm. Additionally, she co-founded Second Stage (secondstage.hk), a venture builder committed to nurturing social enterprises that can function as scalable and sustainable businesses to create a positive impact on society since 2023.
Amy is active in the design community; she is currently Vice Chair at Hong Kong Designer Association, Executive Director of Design Thinking in Action, and Advisor at IXDA. She holds a Bachelor and Master of Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
