Prof. Shera Hyunyim Park is Programme Leader of the MDes Smart Service Design programme at the School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), and the founding lead who established PolyU’s BA Service Design and MDes Smart Service Design programmes. She earned her PhD in Service Design from the Royal College of Art, UK, and brings over 14 years of industry experience across design, marketing, and digital communication. She began her career at Hyundai Group and later served as Head of Digital Communication for LG Electronics Europe, leading cross-regional work spanning communication design, digital marketing, and service strategy.
Her work focuses on service design methodology, digital platforms, service systems, and servitisation, with an emphasis on customer experience in technology-enabled products, services, and ecosystems. Her current projects advance human–AI collaboration in service design and responsible, human-centric services, and develop studio pedagogy for AI-augmented service design practice in higher education.
